Crucifixion in the "Midst of the Seventieth Week"

The Lord commanded the people to set apart a lamb or goat and bring it into their house four days before the Passover to test whether it was a worthy sacrifice. Each family member observed the animal’s behavior and inspected its appearance for defects and blemishes. Moreover, the family developed a bond of affection with the sacrifice during those four days. God set up the Kingdom of Grace at the foundation of the world based solely on a promise. Jesus offers us grace freely based on a costly ransom agreement with the Father, and it was time to pay the price. On Sunday, Nisan 10, 31 AD, during the evening oblation, Christ wept overlooking the city. The crowd and disciples thought He was ushering in the Kingdom of Glory. They would taste the bitter herbs of disappointment, but they would also gain a richer understanding of salvation based on their experience. From the top of that hill, Christ surveyed all the scenes of His sacrifice:

Just before Him was Gethsemane, where soon the horror of a great darkness would overshadow Him. The sheepgate also was in sight, through which for centuries the beasts for sacrificial offerings had been led. This gate was soon to open for Him, the great anti-type, toward whose sacrifice for the sins of the world all these offerings had pointed. (Desire of Ages, page 576 italics provided).

Our moon phase calculator converts Julian Day Numbers and calendar dates to display moonrise, sunrise, and sunset for five millenniums. It is a companion tool for our book on Seventh-Day Adventist prophecy.
We investigated Daniel's 2300-day and seventy-week prophecies in depth. They reveal the exact time of Christ's birth, baptism, crucifixion, and end-time events by correctly interpreting Bible symbolism. See if you agree. Also available as an ebook for your reading device.

The small white dot near Earth in our illustration is a lunar apside (perigee or apogee). The red dot is a node of the ecliptic (ascending or descending). When a new or full moon is at or is opposite to the red dot, an eclipse occurs. For example, a very famous eclipse occurred over Nineveh in Jonah's time, 763 B.C. To see how the red dot is displayed, enter the following JD Number in the form above: 1442903.089 , or click Nineveh Bur-Sagale eclipse. The sun, earth, moon, and nodes (red dot) are all in line.

The blue-green dot opposite the earth indicates the constellation. | A 24-hour clock simply adds twelve hours after noon time. For example 2:00 p.m is the same as 14:0:0 (2+12). 10 O'clock p.m. is 22:00 (10+12) and so on.
